While the character, Jar Jar Binks was an entirely digital performance in the first prequel Star Wars film, The Phantom Menace, the actor Ahmed Best who brought him to life not only provided the unique voice and motion capture performance, but he was on-set in costume as well to perform alongside his fellow actors. This Jar Jar Binks costume head represents an incredibly rare piece of the costume Best wore on set and you will notice that it was worn on top of his head like a hat in order to make sure the his co-stars had the appropriate eyeline to act against so the digital Jar Jar could be digitally added in later.
